This is a very interesting game, I don’t quite think it’s aimed at the younger kids as some of the puzzles can be quite frustrating as well as difficult. I ended up playing it for about a half hour before I got frustrated and shut it off for a little bit but I will be playing it again.

The graphics are exceptional and very pretty, but the sound can be repetitive and annoying sometimes. The gameplay for me was good at first, but I found it got kind of boring, because you seem to be doing the same things over again, picking up acorns and pushing blocks around so you can climb higher and get over certain obstacles.

This would be a great game for those with patients and good puzzle solving abilities. The price for this game is too much in my opinion (at $4.99), I think it would be better valued at $0.99 or $1.99.

Well, this app was listed as an application but it’s more like a game. It’s pretty straight forward and it is a great learning tool, which is why it’s probably listed as an application.

You start off by registering your email and nickname so that you can keep track of your scores. It’s actually quite fun and addictive but surprisingly hard. I always thought that I was pretty good at my geography but this game shows that I really am not.

The graphics are pretty straight forward and nice looking and the sounds are pretty good. Overall it’s a lot better than I thought that it would be and in my opinion, it’s worth the $1.99 price tag. I can foresee myself playing this on an off for quite a long time and not getting bored of it.

Definitely pick this up if you can afford it!

This is one of the first iPhone games I bought when I first got my iPhone and boy I don’t regret it one bit. As a boy growing up I always loved playing Yahtzee with my family, which is why I decided to pick up EA’s Yahtzee Adventures.

This game isn’t just your typical Yahtzee (but it can be). It takes the original Yahtzee, and gives it some great and extremely addictive twists. Not only do you go for you small & large straights but they throw in some colored dice and you can go for blue flushes, green flushes and mixed flushes, it’s really neat.

When you choose the Adventure mode, you bust through the game by beating your opponents, sometimes 1 and sometimes 3 opponents. There is also a “custom play” mode which enables you to play the “classic” mode as well play against other players and characters.

The graphics are awesome, the sounds are great, overall this game is most certainly, definitely worth the $2.99

I couldn’t resist picking this game up this morning as I absolutely love word games. As you boot up, you are shown a really pretty starting page where you can pick your options, start game.. the usual.. and something every game should have on the title page… a tutorial!

The tutorial is great, with easy to read and very easy to understand page by page instructions on how to play the game. So back to the title screen and choose start game!

Now you get to pick from a multitude of categories, including top stories, your country, international, sports ect.. which is really nice. I chose my home country to start off.

This game is extremely fun and addictive as I caught myself playing for almost an hour, just for this review. It takes a nice twist on word games and adds in the bonus of today’s headlines. The graphics are amazing and the sound is great as well. For $0.99 you can’t go wrong, hell, i’d buy this game for $4.99.

Ahh.. another day, another game review.. this time I am reviewing the popular Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Now, to be honest, I’ve had this game for awhile now and have played it plenty. This review isn’t going to be too in depth because frankly, this game is awesome.

Starting off, it introduces the game in the Star Wars fashion, with the scrolling opening credits!! Awesome! You then proceed to be knighted to the dark side by the almighty Darth Vadar and he sends you on a secret mission.

The game play is extremely enjoyable and very fun. You use your finger to control your force powers and you learn different powers each mission. The sounds are entertaining as well as enjoyable, this could be possibly, the funnest iPhone game I have played yet.

The only discrepency is the price.. it’s a little steep, but it’s worth it, in my opinion.

Overall, if you are a Star Wars fan, you should be getting this game for your iPhone.. and even if you are not a Star Wars fan you should be getting this game anyway!

I just finished getting this game and I was very excited to try it out. So you boot it up and it’s very nice looking graphic wise. As you start and scroll through some of the different mission information, it’s still very pretty looking, the graphics are really great.

After hitting continue, you get loaded into the game area, which again the graphics are really good and the sounds are pretty good. At first it was hard to get used to the controls but I figured them out in about 5 minutes and after that it was really easy to control the movement and the gun.

The first mission was actually pretty tough, you have so many seconds to kill off a platoon of enemies and not get dead yourself.

Overall, it was a pretty good game, although it can get a little boring after playing for more than 20 minutes or so. I would say that it’s worth the 1.99$ price tag, as I will be playing it again.

Tonight I am reviewing a fairly new game entitled “Words with friends”. The first thing you should know about this game is that you are required to have an account, therefore you will need a valid email address.

At first it’s actually pretty confusing, I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do, so naturally, like any guy, I just started pressing different buttons. I finally clicked, “create game” and it took me to another list where I picked “random opponent”.. ok..

I still have no idea how to play, but it seemingly looks a lot like “Scrabble” so I decide to play it like that. In turn, it is just like scrabble, now the interesting part about this game is that you’re playing against another live opponent so you can take your time during your turn, and then your opponent can take his time. So essentially the game could last forever.

This would be a decent game to play with a friend or loved one, but with a random stranger, who could post their move once a week, is not really for me.

Good graphics, pretty decent control, a little confusing to grasp at first, but overall a pretty decent game for the price. Keep in mind that you can’t actually play solo in this game, you are required to be connected online, either via your wifi or your carriers network.

So I picked up this application about a week ago and it seems pretty decent. The only real discrepency I have is that it’s hard as hell to use and there doesn’t seem to be a tutorial or manual with it.

I did end up figuring out how to do the basic stuff with it and it does seem pretty cool, although I doubt that I would ever really find a use for it. This would probably be more aimed at kids or people who don’t know how to use photoshop.

Graphic wise, there’s not much to it, a tool bar on the top and a tool bar on the bottom. No sound, which is a plus, I think it would be annoying if there were sound.

Overall, I don’t think that it’s worth the $1.99 that you pay for it.

I had the opportunity today to try out Poker Super Stars 3, which made me happy because I’ve actually been dying to play some poker.

Starting off was pretty easy as you are taken to a screen where you can input your name and such, and then you can proceed to see some stats, which include how many pots you have, flops seen and your best hand so far. You also have the option to have a look at some of the games options which include volume, speed and the option to clear your player data. Neat.

Now starting off you have the option to play a single round or season play. For this review i’m just going to sit in for a single round, just to see how it goes.

The single round you get to play one round only and everyone starts with $250,000 in chips. So here you are playing all your marbles against superstars that you’ll never beat in real life.

The gameplay is actually pretty decent and if you get bored of watching the other players you have the option to “fast forward” all of their hands, which comes in hand especially if you end up folding. The AI seems not too bad, but a couple of times i’ve gone all in and have had the computer call with absolutely nothing.

The sound isn’t bad, but it got on my nerves so I went into the options and presto, turned it off. Another good aspect is, you can exit whenever you want and you don’t have to abandon your game, it will automatically save it for you.

Overall the game is worth what I spent on it and I probably will play it again, but I can see it getting boring quick and me removing within a months time.
